Who Should We Set Our Eyes, Minds and Hearts On: Elohim (God the Creator) or Jehovah (God of the Covenant)?

{As with everything else I write on Spiritual matters, the following post is what I sense the Spirit revealing to me now. I am not going to pompously claim, as the clergy, that the Lord has given me all the answers, so I can then give them to you. I am a sojourner, an alien on this planet, seeking the Lord’s Way, Truth, and Life, for me, just like any other child of God. I share what is on my heart, and I know I get carried away sometimes, so I hope all who read these posts will be patient with me!}

ELOHIM: God the Creator of all things.

JEHOVAH: The God of the covenant, the Savior, the Lord.

I’m always cautious of believers, in particular, so-called men-of-God, who speak in terms of God this and God that. I never hear these folks speak “the name that is above every name,” or even suggest that we should be “led by the Spirit of God.” It always makes me wonder if these folks know who the Christ truly is:

10let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of JESUS CHRIST the Nazarene, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead—by this name this man stands here before you in good health. 11“He is the STONE WHICH WAS REJECTED by you, THE BUILDERS, but WHICH BECAME THE CHIEF CORNER stone. 12“And there is salvation in NO ONE ELSE; for there is NO OTHER NAME under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (JEHOVAH: GOD OF THE COVENANT) (Acts 4)

For all who are being led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. 15For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” 16The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, 17and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, IF indeed WE SUFFER with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. (JEHOVAH: GOD OF THE COVENANT) (Romans 8: 14-17)

Jesus the Christ is both Elohim and Jehovah, since everything that exists was, by the will of His (our) Father, created by Him, but He is also the Savior Who has always sought a personal relationship with His children He died to save. The Lord Jehovah is the (Son of) God of the covenant, a personal, relational Son of God, but He is also Elohim, the task oriented Creator of everything that exists; just as the Father, Son and Spirit are Three and One:

1In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2He was in the beginning with God. 3All things came into being through Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being. 4In Him was life, and the life was the Light of men. (ELOHIM: CREATOR) (John 1)

16“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. 17“For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. (JEHOVAH: COVENANT) (John 3)

19“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (THREE AND ONE)

According to the Word of God, we are called into relationship with Jehovah, He, then, is the basis for our life, since “by no other name can anyone be saved.” If we approach Christ as Elohim, and ONLY speak in terms of “God’s wrath…,” and “God hates…,” etc, etc, then we, according to my Spiritual sense of things, are not in proper relationship with our Lord and Savior, Jehovah, and, therefore, we are also not in proper relationship with His (our) Father, God the Father.

This, in my estimation, is the reason why the political wrangling, between American “evangelists” and Darwinian/feminist/sodomite/atheists (postmodern, constitution-thumping God-haters), over issues such as the Ten Commandments being hung on the walls of government buildings, and government-endorsed phrases like, “One nation under God” and “In God we trust,” mean less than nothing, Spiritually. Our God, according to God the Father, is our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ (Jehovah). Thus, “In God we trust” and “One nation under God” could be referring to Buddha, Mohamed, or any other pagan/human entity. If this country truly knew Elohim/Jehovah, then these phrases would read, “In our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ, we trust,” and “One nation under our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Christ:”

1The LORD says to my Lord:
“Sit at My right hand
Until I make Your enemies a footstool for Your feet.”

2The LORD will stretch forth Your strong scepter from Zion, saying,
“Rule in the midst of Your enemies.”

3Your people will volunteer freely in the day of Your power;
In holy array, from the womb of the dawn,
Your youth are to You as the dew.

4The LORD has sworn and will not change His mind,
“You are a priest forever
According to the order of Melchizedek.” (Psalm 110)

King David states here, “THE LORD SAYS TO MY LORD…” Who is David’s Lord? Jehovah. Who is Jehovah’s and Elohim’s Lord? God the Father. Who do we pray to? God the Father. And in Whose name do we pray to the Father? Jehovah: the name that is above every name, Jesus the Christ.

23“In that day you will not question Me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the Father for anything in My name, He will give it to you. 24“Until now you have asked for nothing in My name; ask and you will receive, so that your joy may be made full. (John 16)

5Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, 6who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, 7but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. 8Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. 9For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2)

And the Ten Commandments were fulfilled by our Lord, so why, then, would we need to hang them anywhere? We would only need to hang the two laws that fulfill all the rest, according to the Christ:

34But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. 35One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, 36“Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37And He said to him, “ ‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ 38“This is the great and foremost commandment. 39“The second is like it, ‘YOU SHALL LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF.’ 40“On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” (Matthew 22)

Who is the author and perfecter of our faith, the propitiation for our sins?

Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (Hebrews 12)

14Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, He Himself likewise also partook of the same, that through death He might render powerless him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15and might free those who through fear of death were subject to slavery all their lives. 16For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham. 17Therefore, He had to be made like His brethren in all things, so that He might become a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18For since He Himself was tempted in that which He has suffered, He is able to come to the aid of those who are tempted. (Hebrews 2)

We were created by the will of God the Father through the work of our Lord (Elohim), Who then became man so He could die for our sins (Jehovah); thus fulfilling the righteous requirements of God the Father for salvation and eternal life. Therefore, it is now Jehovah, the God of the covenant, Whom we should worship and seek with all of our heart and mind.

When all has been prophetically accomplished through Christ (the reconciliation of all things), according to the will of God the Father, then Christ will return all of creation back to the Father:

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. 18 Now all these things are from God, who reconciled us to Himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation. (2 Corinthians 5)

All of this may sound rather petty to some, but, to me, it is anything but petty. The real question should be, Do we love our Lord and Savior enough to consider every aspect of our relationship with Him, or are we content just being religious: not cussing, going to “church,” tithing, etc? The Question That Changed My Life, by David Ryser

A number of years ago, I had the privilege of teaching at a school of ministry. My students were hungry for God, and I was constantly searching for ways to challenge them to fall more in love with Jesus and to become voices for revival in the Church. I came across a quote attributed most often to Rev. Sam Pascoe. It is a short version of the history of Christianity, and it goes like this:

Christianity started in Palestine as a fellowship; it moved to Greece and became a philosophy; it moved to Italy and became an institution; it moved to Europe and became a culture; IT CAME TO AMERICA AND BECAME AN ENTERPRISE.

Some of the students were only 18 or 19 years old–barely out of diapers–and I wanted them to understand and appreciate the import of the last line, so I clarified it by adding, “An enterprise. That’s a business.” After a few moments Martha, the youngest student in the class, raised her hand. I could not imagine what her question might be. I thought the little vignette was self-explanatory, and that I had performed it brilliantly. Nevertheless, I acknowledged Martha’s raised hand, “Yes, Martha.” She asked such a simple question, “A business? But isn’t it supposed to be a body?” I could not envision where this line of questioning was going, and the only response I could think of was, “Yes.” She continued, “But when a body becomes a business, isn’t that a prostitute?”

The room went dead silent. For several seconds no one moved or spoke. We were stunned, afraid to make a sound because the presence of God had flooded into the room, and we knew we were on holy ground. All I could think in those sacred moments was, “Wow, I wish I’d thought of that.” I didn’t dare express that thought aloud. God had taken over the class.

Martha’s question changed my life. For six months, I thought about her question at least once every day. “When a body becomes a business, isn’t that a prostitute?” There is only one answer to her question. The answer is “Yes.” The American Church, tragically, is heavily populated by people who do not love God. How can we love Him? We don’t even know Him; and I mean really know Him.

… I stand by my statement that most American Christians do not know God–much less love Him. The root of this condition originates in how we came to God. Most of us came to Him because of what we were told He would do for us. We were promised that He would bless us in life and take us to heaven after death. We married Him for His money, and we don’t care if He lives or dies as long as we can get His stuff. We have made the Kingdom of God into a business, merchandising His anointing. This should not be. We are commanded to love God, and are called to be the Bride of Christ–that’s pretty intimate stuff. We are supposed to be His lovers. How can we love someone we don’t even know? And even if we do know someone, is that a guarantee that we truly love them? Are we lovers or prostitutes? (emphasis added)

“Christianity started in Palestine as a FELLOWSHIP; it moved to Greece and became a PHILOSOPHY; it moved to Italy and became an INSTITUTION; it moved to Europe and became a CULTURE; IT CAME TO AMERICA AND BECAME AN ENTERPRISE.”

This really spells out the downward spiral of the true Church and Body of Jesus the Christ, over the last two-thousand years:

The Church, which the gates of hades could not withstand, began as a

FELLOWSHIP (ecclesia: a gathering).

And then the teachings and doctrines shared in the fellowship became a

PHILOSOPHY, as opposed to the Way, Truth and Life of our Lord (“sound doctrine”).

And then the philosophy became an excuse for an

INSTITUTION, which Constantine began at Rome (a politically-expedient institution, which has everything to do with paganism and nothing to do with Christ).

This institution, then, became what we see dispersed throughout Europe and the rest of the world today,

the CULTURAL, religious entities, Catholicism & Protestantism, which have done more to serve their own worldly agendas than they ever did to serve the Christ and His true Church and Body!

But, lastly, it is this worshiping-at-the-alter-of-capitalism country (America) that has managed to turn the Church and Body of Christ into nothing more than an apostate-lover-of-the-world corporate-venture: an American ENTERPRISE!

Going to “church” on Sunday and acting pious is not an example of the FELLOWSHIP, the ecclesia, that began at Jerusalem two-thousand years ago. That gathering was made up of people who loved the Lord (Jehovah) and devoted themselves to Him and each other. This gathering wasn’t about tithing, a “church” board, the eradication of sin, and being a pious, upstanding member of the business community. No, these folks, two-thousand years ago, were living the Way, Truth and Abundant Life the Lord had come to give everyone of His called-out and chosen ones. These folks didn’t have to be reminded of Who they should have their eyes, minds and hearts set on, they knew, without question, their Lord was Jehovah, and He was the ALL in ALL they needed.

I believe it is important for all of us to comprehend the importance of this Spiritual issue, since none of us, I believe, would want to hear our Lord and Savior, on that day in the near future, say to us what he says in the following scripture:

21“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter. 22“Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23“And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.” (Matthew 7)

We Understand Nothing (Follow-Up)

An Inconvenient Result of Being a Hypocritical & Alarmist Liar!

This is a follow-up to a post I wrote a year ago, We Understand Nothing. In order to see where I’m coming from in this post, you might, if you are so inclined, want to read the original post first.

Most of us who have college degrees should have learned along time ago that having a PhD in science, or any other field, doesn’t automatically make a person a genius, or even always right. A PhD after someone’s name certainly doesn’t guarantee they are not a manipulator of facts, or even just a plain old liar. For years now I have listened to the “scientific” prophets of doom, through the liberal press (written and broadcast) who exist to promote their fabrications, tell me that “man-made global warming” was going to do this and do that. Even “I-invented-the-Internet” Al Gore got in on the act, after suffering the INCONVENIENT TRUTH of losing the 2000 presidential election.

Al Gore, in particular, is quite a false-story-teller and hypocrite. I lived in Nashville, Tennessee several years ago, where Gore lived at the time and got his political foot in the door. And the mansion he lived in, while I was down there, used an amount of energy equivalent to the energy used by twenty middle-class families in Nashville. Al, the inconvenient truth guy, was not practicing what he loved to preach about global warming and the responsible use of energy. Imagine that, a politician not practicing what he preaches!

All of this made-up evidence for man-made global warming has its roots in some capitalistic manipulation, which is being perpetrated by the top 1 to 5%, wealthy and powerful few who run this government and economic-system. Otherwise, it would have already been squashed, since it is touted by the right as leftist propaganda! In other words, the powers that be have something vested in this bald-faced lie.

{Ever notice how politicians on the right and left, controlled by the power elite, use each other’s seemingly opposing political-positions to manipulate their respective constituencies? Man-made global-warming, a political fabrication, has been perpetrated on the American public by both the liberal-left and conservative-right elected officials who KNOWINGLY and UNQUESTIONINGLY do their owner’s corrupt, evil bidding. Even though republican politicians vehemently deny man-made global warming, they know that it is a tool being used by their elite bosses (owners) to gain more wealth and power. Ever wonder why Speaker of the House Boehner and President Obama are both, quite often, at odds with their respective base constituencies? Both of these politicians are owned, lock, stock and barrel, by the 1 to 5%, wealth and power elite (the monarchy) who rule this country. And the orders of the wealth and power elite, which both Boehner and Obama must carry out, don’t always align with the desires and will of the republican/right and democrat/left bases! Obama and Boehner simply serve the wealth and power elite who bought their way into office!}

The Global Warming Hoax: How Soon We Forget

Nobody has ever offered a more succinct indictment of the global warming hoax than H. L. Mencken, who said: “The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”

While Americans are rightfully focused on the unemployment situation and the debt limit negotiations, we’ve pretty much forgotten about global warming as an issue ever since Obama failed to pass his Cap & Trade bill. As a result, we’re becoming complacent once again about the huge threat we face from the progressives’ attempts to control the world’s energy industry based on the greatest scientific hoax in human history. In reality, however, nothing’s changed, as Obama is still imposing his will on us through the EPA’s regulation of CO2.

This hoax still threatens our economy, while advancing the UN’s “Agenda 21″ in more ways than one. It’s also the foundation of Obama’s “green jobs” approach to the unemployment issue, since the very concept of “green jobs” is just as bogus as the idea of a “carbon footprint.”

With Fox anchors and conservative bloggers arguing that those “green” jobs are simply far too few to fuel a strong recovery, the fact that they’re based on junk science, and aren’t economically viable on their own, gets little if any mention.

The truth is that CO2 is a beneficial trace gas that exists in such small quantities in our atmosphere, that the idea of it playing any significant role in determining our climate is simply silly. CO2 comprises less than half of 0.1% of our atmosphere, and only 4% of it comes from human activity. That’s 16ppm, or 1 part in every 62,500 parts of our atmosphere. CO2 is plant food, and a key component in all life on earth. Plants need CO2 to grow and produce oxygen. They feed animals (including ourselves). Animals in turn consume oxygen and plant-based foods, and exhale CO2. Without CO2, nothing could be green! The Climate Crisis Hoax

On this subject, there’s very little to debate.

I’ve encountered some folks who appear offended by the title of my new book Climate of Corruption: Politics and Power Behind the Global Warming Hoax. Why do you call it a “hoax”? they ask. Why not refer to the matter as a debate? The reason is quite simple: A debate describes a discussion in which participants competitively argue opposing points of view that are assumed to be based upon honest positions.

A hoax is a deceptive act intended to hoodwink people through deliberate misinformation, including factual omissions. My book is about the latter. (And by the way, it can be ordered through primary vendors, and is currently being featured on “new releases” tables at 200 major Barnes and Noble stores.)

The central lie is that we are experiencing a known human-caused climate crisis, a claim based on speculative theories, contrived data and totally unproven modeling predictions. And the evidence? Much is revealed by politically corrupted processes and agenda-driven report conclusions rendered by the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which are trumpeted in the media as authoritative gospel. Global Warming a Hoax? NASA Reveals Earth Releasing Heat into Space

Global warming predictions have followed UN models and trends in describing how Earth traps heat due to carbon dioxide. The increased gases and rising temperatures would create large amounts of water vapors to develop into clouds. Those clouds would trap larger amounts of heat and devastate the planet’s ecosystem leading to the end of mankind.

With new data collected from a NASA’s Terra satellite, the previous model may be proven as a hoax. Hypothesis based on the satellite’s findings show that planet Earth actually releases heat into space, MORE THAN IT RETAINS IT. The higher efficiency of releasing energy outside of Earth contradicts former forecasts of climate change.

Dr. Roy Spencer, a team leader for NASA’s Aqua satellite, studied a decade worth of satellite data regarding cloud surface temperatures.

“The satellite observations suggest there is much more energy lost to space during and after warming than the climate models show…There is a huge discrepancy between the data and the forecasts that is especially big over the oceans,” said Dr. Spencer. (emphasis added)

P.S.

What really tickles my funny-bone about these articles, as well as others I’ve read recently, is that they expose the so-called “intellects” on the far-left for the naive-rose-colored-spectacles-wearing-boobs they are! These far-left “intellects” refer to anyone on the right, or anyone daring to have an opposing opinion, as “willfully-ignorant inbred-hillbillies.” And yet these pseudo-geniuses are as willfully-ignorant, in their lacking-in-research, unsubstantiated opinions, as the most backwoods-conservative clown on the right! The world would be such a better place if these idiots on both sides, along with their political buddies, were placed on an island with weapons, so they could eventually exterminate each other from the face of the earth!
