As I’ve listened to the ramblings of unregenerate postmodern/Darwinian/materialists, over the past few years, I have noted that their “scientific” rhetoric always seems to be in a state of perpetual change (chaos). And yet they continue to paint their pseudo-religious (atheistic) dogma, masquerading as science, as the absolute truth: “evolution is a fact”, but always changing, “global warming” has changed to “global climate change”, and then back to “global warming” again. These lovers of the environment (and self) attempt to manipulate the rest of us, through the media, the government, and our public schools and universities, into becoming “green” advocates who are always aware of our so-called “carbon footprints”. They forecast, almost constantly, short and long-term dire predictions for the environment, which can only be avoided, of course, by jumping on board their materialistic bandwagon and fighting “the system”: “the (very same) system” they operate. Ten years ago, one of their major gurus (Al Gore) predicted that, within a short period of time, New York City would have ocean water flowing through its streets. Most of these so-called “men and women of science” cannot even predict the temperature for the next two days. And yet, in spite of their blatant meteorological incompetence, we are still expected to believe they can predict what the climate will be like in ten, twenty or even one-hundred years from now.
The Spiritual blindness and ignorance of the unregenerate atheist, and their extreme willingness to be led around here and there, this way and that, by every false “scientific” hypothesis (Satanic prophecy), is, in my Spiritual sense, one of many signs that this age is coming, quickly, to an end. In particular, we can observe this type of being-led-around-by-the-intellectual-nose characteristic among the unregenerate and pagan worshipers of “Mother Earth”. These blind and naive types will accept any hypotheses put forth by materialistic “science”; whether there be any substantiating evidence or not.
{The postmodern/Darwinian type (atheist or “religious” believer) is as easily manipulated by materialistic “scientists” as a young girl is manipulated by a current “pop” star. The postmodern/Darwinian is driven by his or her need to be “cool”, to be accepted by unregenerate society as a “tolerant” (on “cool” issues: homosexuality, environmentalism, [politically-correct]) and “Mother Earth” loving person. This type of person becomes almost giddy when they hear one of their materialistic gurus spewing out some new, but always changeable, fact of “science”: it’s rather like having to watch a mindless and mediocre sit-com which never ends. But this one will end, eventually!}
These particular people are not only made up of the unregenerate atheist, but we will also find, unfortunately, the nominal Christian actively involved in this type of “scientific” lunacy as well: these “religious” folk all recycle, they wear buttons claiming to be “Green” advocates, they write their congressmen and even take part in ungodly, rebellious demonstrations. They claim to be “good stewards of the environment” and quote scripture to back up their defense.
{Here is what a “good steward” amounts to in the Word of God: “As each one has received a special gift (Spiritual), employ it in serving one another as GOOD STEWARDS of the manifold grace of God.” (1 Peter 4:10) The stewardship mentioned in the Word of God has nothing at all to do with the concerns of this temporal and decaying world! As believers, our true stewardship in the Lord is to be concerned only with the Spiritual gifts which have been given us: gifts meant to be used for an eternal Spiritual purpose.}
These part-time professors of the Word snatch one little piece of scripture, which is taken totally out of context, and then build a personalized doctrinal rationalization that denies other scriptural Truths. In this type of scriptural interpretation, these world-loving believers can, as always, do as they see fit in their own eyes, as opposed to seeking and doing what the Lord commands of them:
There is a way which seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death. (Proverbs 14: 12)
Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6: 14)
The fact of this whole environmental matter is this (according to the Word of God): fallen man IS destroying his environment and HAS BEEN for the last six thousand years, and in much the same way as he has been destroying himself and those around him: through greed and the desire for power to control others; a desire based solely on self-survival at all cost. The destruction (the passing away) of the earth began on the day man was driven from the garden and his intimate relationship with the Creator; and it has continued to accelerate since that fateful day:
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.
11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness [?], 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells. (2 Peter 3)
Therefore, man will continue to destroy his environment in much the same way he always has, no matter how hard he strives to circumvent the assured final outcome. Unregenerate man is beyond repair (as is his environment); unless, of course, he should be called to repent and accept the Lord and His Truth, and then, although his environment will be destroyed, man himself will be saved from the coming Judgment and Destruction.
But, in all of this soon-coming destruction, there is the promise and hope of our Lord’s perfect will being accomplished: “But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.” According to this scripture, our hope is not to be in this decaying and dying planet. Our hope is to be in the promise of our Lord that there will be new heavens and a new earth filled with His Righteousness, Justice, Light and Life:
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.”
5 And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” (Revelation 21)

One Byproduct of an Ungodly and Delusional Mind!
The Darwinian/Naturalist atheist (or however one would describe such a lost human being) has nothing to hold on to but this dying planet and a distorted guessing-game (“materialistic science”), which he or she holds as some form of absolute, but always changing, “truth”: a worldly, corrupted “truth” with no basis at all, beyond that of its own blind and arrogant speculations. This worldly kind of “truth” only serves to keep people constantly on a virtual merry-go-round of “do this” or “don’t do that”; a “making-it-up-as-we-go” existence devoid of any of our Lord’s Truth and Life.
{The sad thing is that the nominal “church”, in much the same way, keeps its confused captives jumping through the false and meaningless merry-go-round of its apostate doctrines and dogma.}
This kind of Godless and confused existence is a very sad thing to observe, but even worse is to see those who belong to our Lord, those having had the chance to discern the Truth, being yoked with the unregenerate in their confused darkness:
And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, 4 in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they might not see THE LIGHT of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. (2 Corinthians 4)
These apostate believers have become double-minded: they go to “church” and profess to some form of Godliness, but they have denied its Truth and Power and have turned aside, instead, to unregenerate fables and old wives tales. These “religious” folk love the world as much, or even more, as they love their Lord and Savior, but, sadly, most are totally unaware of this fact:
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 HOLDING TO A FORM OF GODLINESS, ALTHOUGH THEY HAVE DENIED ITS POWER; AVOID SUCH MEN AS THESE. (2 Timothy 3)
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For that man ought not to expect that he will receive anything from the Lord, 8 being a DOUBLE-MINDED man, unstable in all his ways. (James 1)
Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 17 The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2)
“Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him…” How much clearer can the Apostle John be here? If we’re more concerned with the interests of this temporal world than the eternal interests of the Lord, then we become like Peter, just shortly after Jesus had commended him for having received revelation (of Who Jesus truly was) from the Father:
From that time Jesus began to show His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised up on the third day. 22 Peter took Him aside and began to rebuke Him, saying, “God forbid it, Lord! This shall never happen to You.” 23 But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to Me; for you are not setting your mind on God’s interests, but man’s.” (Matthew 16)
James, the earthly brother of Jesus, sternly warns us about becoming friendly with this unregenerate world:
You adulteresses, do you not know that friendship with the world is hostility toward God? Therefore whoever wishes to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. (James 4: 4)
We must remember that the Creator and owner of this planet is still in charge: “Behold, to the Lord your God belong the heaven and the high heavens, the earth and all that is in it.” The Father Himself will determine when His Son returns and the processing of His righteous judgment takes place. Our Father in heaven will decide what happens in this world and throughout the universe He created, not pompous and easily fooled mankind!
The current earth and heavens are going to pass away, and there is nothing we can do to circumvent that end. We are not here to save this world or those in it, we are here to become the corporate heavenly man (the Body of Christ) the Father desires us to become through, and for, His Son. We must not allow ourselves to be distracted by the passing fancies of the unregenerate mind, nor can we allow ourselves to be distracted by the nominal “church’s” apostate doctrines and “missions”. We must seek out the Spirit’s leading and follow, as best we can, His instructions, and then we will come to know what we must accomplish, through the Christ in us, here and now!
Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day. 17 For momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are TEMPORAL, but the things which are not seen are ETERNAL. (2 Corinthians 4)
